That is the question APEX is designed to answer. Built by a team at the University of Bath, in association with global consulting firms, APEX provides leaders with impartial and informed bespoke insights for how they might enhance the performance of their enterprises.
What you get is a bespoke 8-10 page report which presents both our assessment of the current strengths and challenges of the performance impacting management and leadership practices of your enterprise, and our thoughts for the 4-6 priorities that you might consider for action.
For us to create this detailed report that is specific to you, we do need you to complete a comprehensive questionnaire which requires approx. 60-70 mins to complete. The dataset we receive enhances our ability to provide specific insights for action both for shaping national and regional policies and informing enterprise-level actions.
What you will receive
Within 48 hours of completing the survey, you will receive a personalised APEX Performance Report - a senior consulting-grade analysis written specifically for your enterprise. It will:

APEX is being deployed across enterprises in multiple sectors and geographies, with the active involvement of chambers of commerce and government business associations. Your report will be informed by - and will contribute to - a genuinely international evidence base.
Longitudinal insight as the programme matures. APEX is a five-year research programme. As the dataset grows, participants will receive comparative insights on how your enterprise’s performance capacity compares with peers of similar scale, sector, and ownership structure. We will invite you to participate again in approximately two years, enabling you to track your own trajectory and benchmark your progress against the evolving dataset.
Contribution to a research programme that matters. The APEX initiative will build one of the most comprehensive evidence bases on enterprise performance drivers yet assembled - across sectors, geographies, and organisational lifecycles. Your participation contributes directly to that knowledge.

APEX is built around five dimensions of enterprise performance capacity:

A note on this invitation
You are being invited to participate as part of the initial APEX pilot cohort. We are honest about what that means: the survey and report are in active development, and the experience may be less polished than the final version will be.
